13 Indicted In D.C. In Drug Dealing Investigation
WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia authorities say 13 people have been indicted in a federal drug trafficking investigation.
Eleven of those charged were arrested Thursday and are being held without bond, while two remain at large.
Prosecutors say the drug trafficking organization distributed large quantities of cocaine and heroin to drug dealers across the region.
More than 3.5 kilograms of cocaine and more than two kilograms of heroin have been seized as part of the investigation.
Authorities serving search warrants this week say they recovered firearms, cocaine, heroin, tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry and, in one home, evidence of an identity theft operation.
