13 Charges Dropped In St. Patrick's Day Beating Case
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—More than half of the charges are dropped against the suspects accused in a brutal attack on a Baltimore tourist.
Baltimore police arrested four young people in the attack of an intoxicated tourist outside the courthouse in downtown Baltimore on St. Patrick's Day.
Records show prosecutors have now removed 13 of the 24 charges against the suspect, including first-degree assault. So far it's unclear why the State's Attorney's Office made the decision.
The victim--a man from Alexandria, Va.--was robbed, stripped of his clothing and left unconscious in the street. The beating was videotaped and widely viewed online.
Three of the defendants will be in court next week.
