10 Years Later: Ledecky, Phelps Re-Create Famous Autograph Photo
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Maryland's most famous Olympic swimmers, Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky, met ten years ago after Phelps won six Olympic gold medals in the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics. Ledecky went to meet the famed swimmer to get an autograph.
Flash forward to see 19-year-old Ledecky and 31-year-old Phelps both at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The two recreated their 2006 photo on "The Today Show," only this time Phelps was the one receiving an autograph from an Olympic legend.
Now, during the 2016 Rio Games, Phelps has more than tripled his medal count and Ledecky is a five-time Olympic gold medalist, and nine-time world champion.
