1 Of 2 Pigs Living Near Md. Office Park Caught
LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County authorities have caught up with one of two pot-bellied pigs who recently took up residence at an office park near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Linthicum.
The Baltimore Sun reports Animal Control Administrator Robin Small says the pig -- a 26-pound female -- was captured with a net on Thursday evening. Small says officials will continue their efforts to capture the second pig, which is thought to be a male of similar size.
Small says the captured female will spend five days in the shelter to allow the owner time to reclaim her, but officials are accepting applications for ownership through the Pig Placement Network, an Internet community that finds new homes for pigs.
