Texas Man Wins $1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Maryland
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- A Texas man in Maryland on business won a $1 million Powerball prize.
According to Maryland Lottery, 37-year-old Cody Kent claimed the ticket Monday afternoon.
Kent bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven at 6590 Old Waterloo Road in Elkridge.
An industrial mechanic, he had been working in Ellicott City and he and a coworker bought Powerball tickets on a whim Saturday.
"After work, my buddy suggested we get some tickets, so we did," he said.
He's still shocked about his win.
