January 6 panel seeks interview with GOP leader Kevin McCarthy
The House committee investigating the U.S. Capitol riot requested an interview with Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who had said he spoke with then-President Trump the afternoon of the attack, telling him to call off his supporters.
