GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) – Grand Prairie police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in a heavily wooded area near the 2400 block of Pioneer.

They found her based on a tip from the Arlington Police Department who said a man who committed suicide admitted killing the woman before his death.

Officials have not yet identified the woman. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office will release her name and cause of death once an official identification is made and the next of kin are notified.

It is still early in the investigation and detectives are going through all of the evidence at the scene and developing a timeline of what the victim did in the hours and moments leading up to her death.
