HALTOM CITY (CBSDFW.COM) - Haltom City Police released a sketch of a suspected robber from an incident on Tuesday, August 16.

Police say around 5:45 p.m. a woman was stopped at a stop light at the intersection of Haltom and Stanley Keller.

She told police a man approached the passenger side of his vehicle and tapped on the window.

The driver said she believed this suspect was a transient and was panhandling for money at the intersection.

She rolled down the passenger window and the man pulled out a large chrome revolver.

Police say the suspect asked for the victim's wallet and she gave it to him.  The suspect removed cash from the wallet and ran off.

Police say the suspect is described "as a white male, approximately 55-65 years of age, 6'0, about 180 pounds, shoulder length white hair with some black in his hair, a large white beard covering the majority of his face extending down covering the front part of his neck."

The victim remembers his hair was unkempt as if it hadn't been washed or combed in sometime. She said the suspect's face appeared "frail" with age spots on the upper portions of his cheeks.
