DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police are searching for the person who shot and killed a woman outside a popular theme restaurant Sunday night.
Dallas Police say 42-year-old Martha Teran was shot and killed outside the Medieval Times restaurant on I-35E/N. Stemmons Freeweay around 6 p.m. Sunday night.
Teran was shot by an unknown assailant that witnesses say immediately fled the scene.
She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Teran was a real estate agent at Gilchrist and Company, where her boss Tom Gilchrist remembers her as a hard worker. "She was a quiet no non-sense gal. Just a gentle spirit. Always smiling. Always loving on her kids. She was planning a trip to Colorado with her family soon."
He says the office is still in shock.
"After the shock wears off, you want to know why. But there really isn't a good reason why something like this happens," Gilchrist says.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Dallas Police at 214.671.3647.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information resulting in the arrest and indictment of the suspect. Call Crime Stoppers at: (214) 373.TIPS.
