Woman Found Shot Dead At Dallas Motel

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas are searching for a killer after a woman was found dead in the Oak Cliff area. Officers responded to the call at around 3:15 a.m. early Friday at the City Inn & Suites, located in the 200 block of Ewing Avenue.

The victim's name has not yet been released. She has only been described as a black woman in her mid-to-late 30s. The case is being investigated as "homicidal violence." The woman was found shot to death.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect, and have not yet made any arrests. There is no description of the possible shooter at this time.

However, several people were in the area when the woman was killed. Officers are interviewing those witnesses, hoping that they can provide more information about what happened before the victim was shot.

The owner of the motel said that the victim lived there and worked at the front desk, and she was a very nice person. He has no idea who might have wanted her dead.
