Woman Dies In Fiery Single-Vehicle Incident

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington police said a woman died late Friday night after her vehicle caught fire at the 7000 block of Webb Lynn Road.

Police responded to a major accident at approximately 11:00 p.m. that involved a single vehicle.

Investigators said the female driver pulled off the roadway after possibly experiencing car trouble.

According to the investigation, the vehicle caught fire and people who were passing by attempted to help the woman. The rescue attempts were unsuccessful.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
