DALLAS, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones says the club is considering using the franchise tag on receiver Dez Bryant.

Dez said during last season he would be "highly disappointed" if the Cowboys used the franchise tag on him, but Stephen says,"I think Dez will be a pro and he'll play."

Jones is in Indianapolis for the NFL's annual scouting combine.

"We're still working through everything," said Jones. "we will probably use the full amount of time before we decide what we want to do with the tag, we'll probably wait till the midnight hour to make that decision."

Bryant already appears to be frustrated even though he would collect $12 million to $13 million -- if the Cowboys make the expected move. He tweeted that he wished the Cowboys were as dedicated to him as he is to them.

The window for the Cowboys to use the tag began Monday and runs through March 2nd.
