DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Do you love Samoas or Caramel Delights? Tagalongs or Peanut Butter Patties?
"I don't think a lot of people can tell the difference, says Anneke Davis. She is a Girl Scout in Dallas.
"Even though we call it different names, it's still the same cookie."
Caitlyn is also a Girl Scout but from Arlington.
The cookies that Anneke and Caitlyn sell may look same their names aren't.Neither are their recipes.
Take those Samoas, which are made with dark chocolate and the caramel delights, which are made with milk chocolate.
Even the Tagalongs and Peanut Butter Patties are distinct. Many Girl Scout Cookies lovers notice the difference.
Which cookie you get all depends on where you buy them. Girl Scouts on the east side of the Metroplex sell cookies from Little Brownie Bakers.
Those on the west side get cookies made from ABC Bakers. The only cookie both bakers make is Thin Mints, but there are differences here too.
The differences vary from the size of the box to the nutrition label.
Dallas County cookies have an extra gram of fat and a smooth layer of chocolate.
Tarrant County cookies are mintier you can see holes in them and they're crunchier too.
Everyone has their favorite and some will even travel across county lines to purchase their preference.
No matter your preference, The Girl Scouts will gladly satisfy your craving.
