NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - In this week's Wednesday's Warriors we check in on an old friend, who is still fighting a big fight.

We first met Ryan Mims during the summer, just months into his leukemia diagnosis. The playful 3-year-old then, had already gone through his first chemo treatment, and still had his hair.

Recently, now 4-year-old Ryan was in his second phase, with an especially tough chemo called Erwinia. His hair is gone now, but he's as cute as ever.

A respiratory problem has prevented him from finishing the aggressive second phase of chemo but in video's posted by mom Christine, the brave, little guy continues to define the term, warrior.

"Do you feel great now? You feel great now?" Ryan's mother asks in the video. "I feel great now. I feel great now! Root for Ryan! Root for Ryan," the toddler replied.

He will step forward in treatment, and move to his final "aggresive chemo" phase at Cook Children's Hospital next week since his body was not ready for it this week. After, he continues his journey with a 2-year maintenance phase.

CBS11 asks that you think of Ryan and his family as you celebrate the good health of you and yours this holiday.
