NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The latest the figures show that there were some 1080 departing and arriving flights were canceled at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Monday.
Inside, on the other side of security, the restaurants and concessions will stay open late for those who may have to stay overnight.
There could be hundreds of people sleeping at DFW Airport. Patrick Obodo doesn't want to be one of them.
If I don't make it, it's going to put me behind," he said.
But Al Farahmand of Plano is in no hurry to see his nephew leave. Until this trip they had not seen each other in 20 years.
When asked how the North Texas visit had been Farahmand said, "Lovely, great having him and he enjoyed Dallas."
Betsy Gross needs to get to San Francisco for a meeting at 8:15 Tuesday morning. "It's a hassle, but you have to have a smile on your face and just look for another alternative," she said.
After three canceled flights Gross got on a plane that departed DFW Airport after hours.
Nearly 100 flights have been pre-cancelled for Tuesday.
