NAVARRO COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) — Flooding is causing a slew of issues in Navarro County. Water began rushing through a levee breach and school districts announced closures on Sunday.

Navarro County Office of Emergency Preparedness confirmed the breach in the levee system Sunday afternoon. The breach happened at Farm to Market Road 1126 west of Interstate 45. FM1126 was closed, according to the office's Twitter feed.

The breach did not affect any homes, and evacuations were not necessary, Navarro County Judge H.M. Davenport said.

Crews working on the Union Pacific train that derailed this weekend were not affected either, Davenport said. Vacuum trucks were on the scene trying to remove any fuel spilled into the water.

TxDOT is monitoring the situation, and Navarro County OEP posts updates on its social media.

Due to the recent flooding, all Navarro County school districts except Corsicana ISD will be closed on Monday, according to Navarro County OEM's Twitter. Corsicana ISD will have a delayed opening.

The school closings will allow crews to evaluate roads for repair, Davenport said. Navarro County OEP released a map and list of road closures in the area on Twitter.

There is a flood warning in the county until 8:30 a.m. Monday.

This is a developing story.
