ERNDON, Va. (CBSDFW.COM/AP)Three northern Virginia teenagers who died in a car crash in North Texas are to be remembered at a vigil.

Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon will hold the vigil Sunday at 6 p.m. in honor of 19-year-olds Kyle Mathers and Dale Neibaur and 18-year-old Holly Novak. A spokesman for Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia says the teens were 2014 Herndon High School graduates.

A Texas public safety official says the three died Friday when a SUV they were riding in collided with a silver Mercury going the wrong way on Interstate-30 in Greenville. After that incident, a big rig attempted to avoid the scene, but struck both of the crashed vehicles. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Kyle Bradford says two other teens in the SUV were hospitalized after the crash.

The driver of the Mercury was pronounced dead at the scene.
