Viral Video Burglar In Mesquite Is Arrested

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - His name is Chris Green. Many people may not recognize that name, but they'll recognize this video:
On March 10 someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Green Canyon Drive. The homeowner's security video showed a suspect kicking in the back door. Four days later a copy of the video was on social media. Mesquite Police say the video soon went viral.
On March 19 investigators received an anonymous tip. The caller said they recognized the suspect as Chris Green from Garland.
In their investigation, officers found an outstanding burglary warrant for Christopher Lee Green, 33 of Garland, whose previous mugshot photo was very similar to the suspect image caught on video.
Investigators found Green and arrested him on one felony and three class C warrants. Police say he confessed to the burglary on Green Canyon Drive.
Green has been charged with one count of burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony carrying a bond of $10,000 and four warrants.
