FORT WORTH (CBS11) - Fort Worth Police are looking into a newly released video that students said shows the moments just before a teen opened fire in a busy parking lot feet from Arlington Heights High School.
Two teens have been arrested but there is now concern more shootings and fights could happen as a result of retaliation.
"Everybody was like, there was a shooting at McDonald's. And I was like really? Everybody said go to the gym," said Angel Ramirez, a student.
Ramirez was in between classes when he heard that shots had been fired at the nearby McDonald's.
"I heard that it was probably a crew against a crew or something. Like a gang related thing," said Ramirez.
Even during the lockdown, Ramirez said tensions boiled over inside the gym between students after some of them figured out who was involved.
Students said they are relieved no one was hurt, it was a little terrifying to hear about a shooting happening near their school just a day after the mass-shooting in California.
"It was scary because we didn't know if we were safe or not or if he was caught. And I was just scared, plenty of people were scared," said Jessica Robles, a student.
A message was circulating Thursday night among students warning of more attacks.
Fort Worth Police said there will be increased security as a result at school on Friday.
