CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A suspected drunk driver hit two stopped Carrollton Police squad cars Tuesday night, while the officers were in the process of arresting another DWI suspect.

Neither officer was hurt, even though one was sitting in his squad car at the time.

Surveillance video shows a pickup truck, driven by Jose Cecilio Fabian-Gonzalez, according to police, traveling northbound in the 500 block of I-35 in Lewisville.  The truck careens into the frame, obviously out of control, before it slams into one patrol vehicle from behind and then skids into another.  The crash happened at about 10:20 pm Tuesday.

Damage to the suspect's truck and both police vehicles was substantial.

Police arrested Gonzalez at the accident scene, with a blood-alcohol level of higher than .15, which is more than twice the legal limit for drivers in the state of Texas.

Carrollton Police say they have already made 29 DWI arrests this year.  Last year, the department arrested 909 people for DWI.
