AUSTIN (AP) — The University of Texas System has joined with the U.S. Census Bureau to help track where UT graduates find jobs and how much they earn.

UT System officials on Thursday announced the 10-year agreement to provide both organizations with a more comprehensive view of degrees and labor markets.

Census Bureau national data will be supplemented with UT figures and state unemployment insurance information.

A UT statement says the results will be used in partnership with the system's online tools to help provide details on education costs and student debt, plus graduate earnings and the expected financial return on a degree.

The UT System is one of the largest nationwide with 14 institutions and enrollment of more than 221,000.
