Ultimate Fighter Contestant Felice Herrig Ready For Rematch

DALLAS, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - At first glance, one might think that the most controversial cast member of this season's Ultimate Fighter would be veteran straw weight Felice Herrig.
Known for her creative costumes and willingness to play upon her good looks, other female mixed martial artists have not always appreciated her unconventional approach to self promotion. That being said, when she steps into The UFC Octagon for the first time this season this Wednesday night, the support of most of the other ladies on the show will be behind her, hoping to see her take out her largely disliked opponent.
Listen to Richard Hunter talk to Felice Herrig about her match up with Heather Jo Clark.
Heather Jo Clark has not made many friends in The Ultimate Fighter house, and with the season having already been taped and completed, multiple cast members have told me that the disdain for Clark only intensified as the weeks wore on. Herrig herself told me that Clark came off as a "mean person" that was "out for herself" who would "do anything she could to gain more camera time". It would seem that a vocal majority of the other 115 pound fighters would concur with Herrig's sentiments.
Inside the cage Clark is a talented Muay Thai fighter who lost a split decision the first time she and Herrig fought several years back under the Bellator promotional banner. Herrig credits her opponent with being a fighter who "throws bombs", adding that she perceives Clark to harbor lingering resentment over the loss.

There is much more on the line this time, as the winner will advance toward becoming the first ever UFC women's straw weight champion, to be crowned at the live finale December 12 at The Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Tickets for that event go on sale this Wednesday.
