DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - 2015 could be described as the "Year of the Quarterback" in North Texas high school football, and many of the best will be showcased on TXA 21's High School Football Game of the Week.

This year's slate features 13 regular season telecasts, followed by weekly live playoff telecasts leading up to state championship weekend. Doug Anderson and LaDarrin McLane will call the games. The broadcast schedule is as follows:

South Oak Cliff @ Cedar Hill
Friday, August 28, 10:30 p.m.

Coach Joey McGuire's two-time defending state champion Cedar Hill Longhorns don't rebuild, they reload. Two highly-recruited juniors, QB Avery Davis and WR Jaylon Jackson, are replacing departed QB Justin McMillan (LSU) and WR DaMarkus Lodge (Ole Miss). South Oak Cliff is coming off an appearance in the Class 5A regional finals last year and returns QB David Johnson and LB Marvin Terry, who registered 18 sacks last year.

Trinity Christian Academy (Addison) @ All Saints Episcopal (Fort Worth)
Friday, September 4, 10:30 p.m.

All Saints Episcopal has another highly sought-after recruit in 6' 3", 305-pound defensive tackle Michael Williams, who has committed to Stanford. The Saints' defense will be tested against TCA's potent wideout tandem of Parker Oliver and Jack Savage.

Ennis @ Waxahachie
Friday, September 11, 10:30 p.m.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Jon Kitna takes the helm of the Waxahachie program this season. Kitna's son, Jordan, is expected to start at QB against traditional powerhouse Ennis. The defending state champion Lions return seven starters from last year's 14-2 unit.

The Colony @ Frisco
Thursday, September 17, 10:30 p.m.

The Colony returns 11 starters from last year's 9-4 regional semifinalist squad and is the preseason pick to win District 9-5A. However, the Cougars should be tested by Frisco's unique Wing T offense that features massive offensive tackle Jack Anderson, a top 2017 recruit.

Decatur @ Bridgeport
Friday, September 25, 10:30 p.m.

Now in its 95th year, the storied rivalry between these two Wise County teams will be showcased for the first time on TXA 21. The 2015 edition of the Battle of the Big Sandy will feature dynamic offensive playmakers Bridgeport WR Keenan Holdman and Decatur WR/DB Ryan Durdon. Both the Bulls and the Eagles are expected to contend for district titles.

Skyline @ Jesuit
Friday, October 2, 10:30 p.m.

This is a key matchup between two of the top teams in District 9-6A. Skyline enters the season ranked No. 6 in the state in the "Texas Football" rankings. The Raiders are led by RB Da'Leon Ward, a Texas Tech commit who rushed for 1779 yards last year. Jesuit returns eight starters on defense from its area finalist squad last year.

L.D. Bell @ Trinity
Thursday, October 8, 10:30 p.m.

One of the best rivalries in the area is becoming an annual TXA 21 tradition. New Trinity coach Chris Jensen takes over for longtime mentor Steve Lineweaver, who retired after last season. Expect the Trojans to continue to run the football as Ja'Ron Wilson returns after a 1791-yard season in 2014. First-year coach Mike Glaze takes over at Bell after being a part of two straight state titles as Cedar Hill's offensive coordinator.

Mesquite Horn @ Highland Park
Friday, October 9, 10:30 p.m.

Coach Randy Allen's Highland Park Scots made the area finals in their first year in Class 6A, but they must overcome the loss of 19 starters to graduation. Horn Coach Mike Overton coached TCU's Heisman Trophy hopeful Trevone Boykin in high school. Overton has another highly-recruited QB prospect in Chris Robison, who has committed to Oklahoma.

Arlington Bowie @ Arlington Martin
Friday, October 16, 10:30 p.m.

Another crosstown rivalry featuring numerous college prospects headlines this late season matchup. Martin is the preseason pick to win District 4-6A with the return of RB Nic Smith, who ran for 36 TDs last year. Bowie's run game should be stout behind 6' 6", 325-pound future Texas Longhorn Tope Imade.

Trophy Club Byron Nelson @ Denton Guyer
Friday, October 23, 10:30 p.m.

The tradition continues at Guyer, where Coach John Walsh's Wildcats are ranked in the top 10 in the state again. All eyes will be on junior QB Shawn Robinson, who has already committed to TCU after accounting for 50 touchdowns as a sophomore. Byron Nelson High School is the new kid on the block, but is already flexing its football muscles. The Bobcats are led by highly-recruited defensive ends Kellen Diesch, an Arkansas commit, and Brandon Bowen.

Wylie @ Lucas Lovejoy
Friday, October 30, 10:30 p.m.

Another highly-touted QB prospect is featured when Lovejoy's Bowman Sells challenges Wylie's well-schooled defense. A University of Houston pledge, Sells is a four-year starter, but could have his hands full versus a Pirate squad that returns 13 starters from its 8-4 area finalist team.

DeSoto @ Duncanville
Thursday, November 5, 10:30 p.m.

DeSoto is the pick of many to break through and win a state title this year behind Tristen Wallace, perhaps the top quarterback in the state. A strong-armed 6' 3", 230-pound senior, Wallace has verbally committed to defending national champion Ohio State. Coach Reginald Samples takes over at Duncanville and tries to have the same kind of success that he had building strong programs at Dallas Skyline and Dallas Lincoln.

Keller @ Justin Northwest
Friday, November 6, 10:30 p.m.

This District 5-6A matchup is likely to have huge playoff ramifications as it did last season. In a strange turn of events, the Indians made the 2014 playoffs over the Texans despite losing the last game of the season to the Texans. Coach Stralow returns potent offensive weapons in QB Caleb Griffen, WR Cameron Johnson, TE Houston Miller and RB Tyler Tutt. The Texans and Coach Bill Poe have a star recruit of their own in OL Darrell Simpson.

All regular season broadcasts will air on a same-night tape delay. Playoff game broadcasts will be announced at a later date.
