Two Shot In Domestic Dispute In Oak Cliff

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Two people were shot early Thursday morning after a domestic dispute turned violent in Oak Cliff.

According to Dallas Police, a man and his girlfriend were driving in a truck in the 1700 block of Hansboro Avenue just after midnight when they were confronted by a known suspect.

While blocking their path at an intersection, the suspect -- a former boyfriend of the female passenger -- pulled out a handgun and fired at the vehicle.

The male driver, who was struck in the neck, temporarily lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole. The female was struck in the mid-back.

Both were transported to Methodist Central Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue. The male is listed in good condition, while the female is stable.

Police have not made any arrests in the shooting.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved.
