Two Saginaw Officers Injured Outside Walmart

SAGINAW (CBSDFW.COM) - A pair of Saginaw police officers were injured investigating an alleged shoplifting at a Walmart.

Police tell CBS11, while confronting the suspect, the suspect's gun went off.

Police say it appears it was accidental and according to MedStar, the officers' injuries were from pavement and bullet fragments.

Both officers being treated at hospital expected to be okay.  Both were injured in their legs.

The suspect is in custody.
