2 Killed After Crash In Mesquite Involving Wrong-Way Driver

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - Two people have been killed after a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Mesquite early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of 635 near Highway 80. Police say they were responding to reports of a driver going the wrong way before the crash.
According to police, the wrong-way driver of a Honda Civic was going south on the northbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into a Chevy Tahoe. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the two victims have not yet been released as police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
The highway was shut down for several hours.
