FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Two people accused of binding, beating and burning Ashlea Harris, 31, to death now face Capital Murder charges.

Clarence David Mallory, 25 and Carter Carol Cervantez, 19, plotted to rob the clothing store Harris managed on Black Friday, according to police.

Police said Cervantes' car was seen at Harris's apartment the day she was found dead. Her keys for American Eagle Outfitters at Hulen Mall were missing.

The next morning, undercover officers said they followed Cervantes and Mallory to the mall.

"I knew it had something to do with the mall. But I didn't know it was that kind of a story. I thought maybe somebody had followed her home from the mall or something. But there's a whole lot more to it than that," said Harris' neighbor Max Oliver.

Police said Mallory waited outside while Cervantes went in and tried to use keys to open the American Eagle Outfitters. But the locks were already changed.

Both suspects were fired from the same store after they were suspected of stealing $18,000 from a safe in August. Harris pointed the finger at them for the crime.
