Case Dismissed Against Traveling Nurse Accused Of Sexual Assault

FORT WORTH, TX (CBSDFW.COM) - UPDATED (2/13/2020) - The case against a traveling nurse from Fort Worth, Dustin Hopper -- who was arrested in North Texas on charges of sexual assault out of New Mexico and Arizona -- was dismissed "without prejudice" February 3, 2020.

According to court records signed by William H. Snowden, Special Prosecutor, the case was dismissed "due to exculpatory video evidence"

McKinley County officials told CBS 11 in an email, "It appears that the case ended in a Nolle Prosequi, which means the special prosecutor assigned to the case declined to prosecute the case."

Authorities extradited Hopper to face charges in New Mexico after he was arrested in Fort Worth back in August of 2019.
