FRISCO (CBS11 SPORTS) - With Chief Branding Officer Charlotte Jones Anderson giving us a tour of the Cowboys new world headquarters, it is a sight to see.

Ninety-one acres that will encompass Cowboys offices, practice fields, a state of the art football shaped locker room, auditorium style meeting room, a glass enclosed weight room, a massive hot tub known as "Lake Landry," as well as a restaurant with chef and nutritionist.

That part of the complex is called "The Star."

The "Ford Center At The Star" centers around a 12,000 seat indoor stadium that will allow the Cowboys to practice indoors when needed and will allow all eight Frisco high school teams to play on the same day…August 27th.

Charlotte, Stephen Jones, Jerry Jones Jr., and Jerry Jones have offices that overlook the Cowboys two full sized practice fields.

The office of Jerry Jones sits right on the 50 yard line.

With more than a billion dollars total that will be invested in the complex, which includes shops, restaurants, and the Omni Hotel, Charlotte Jones Anderson says this is the competitive advantage the team needs. In her words, "there are no excuses."

The hotels, shops and restaurants won't open until next year.

The Cowboys staff members will move to Frisco from Valley Ranch in June. When the Cowboys players return from Oxnard August 22, they will marvel at their new home.

Charlotte says a lot of credit for the project goes to the city of Frisco and Frisco ISD for it's forward thinking. Now, it's the Cowboys job to bring it home from here.
