IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - Football at Valley Ranch is about to get serious. Tony Romo will lead his team onto the field for Dallas Cowboys OTAs today, his first official "full-go'' work since breaking his collarbone in December.

The OTAs - the first of a series of workouts leading up to mandatory minicamp in mid-June and then training camp in Oxnard at the end of July — will also feature rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott but will also be notable for the players behind monitored as they return from injury/surgery.

That group is led by Dez Bryant (foot) and Orlando Scandrick, two key starters who will be ready in short order — hopefully by June — but who are focusing on being ready when the football becomes even more serious.

This week's workouts are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (with media availability on Wednesday.)
