Tolar Tornado Broke Couple's Bones, But Not Their Spirit

TOLAR (CBSDFW.COM) - A couple seriously injured when a tornado smashed into their Tolar home is out of the hospital tonight. They talked to CBS11's Cristin Severance about what it will take to return to normal.
Johnny and Glenda Walker were inside their trailer when the EF 1 tornado ripped through Jack's Mobile home park in Tolar.
"We still have our life and we have our family," said Glenda Walker.
The Walkers can barely get up but they're still grateful.
"I'm glad we're alive, you never know what's going to happen one day to the next," said Glenda Walker.
Johnny Walker was thrown in the air by the 75 to 100 mph winds.
"When I slid down, I broke my pelvis, I hit a gooseneck trailer," said Johnny Walker.
Glenda said she was running for cover.
"Next thing I know I was outside, wet, cold, hurt," said Glenda Walker.
Glenda was just released from the hospital. Her back is broken.
"I have no insurance, I don't know what we're going to do," said Glenda Walker.

Nothing salvageable is left where their home once stood and they don't plan on ever going back.
"I'm afraid to see what's all out there," said Glenda Walker.
Their pain is clear but one thing is helping them fight through it.
"Knowing that my kids need me, to be there for them," said Glenda Walker.
The Walkers are staying with family now but have no plan on what they're going to go next.
