Tip From Public Leads To Arrest In Carrollton Homicide

CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Thanks to a tip from the public, Carrollton Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the November 4, 2015 murder of Steve Lehman.

Kedric DeShaun Alexander, 35 of Balch Springs is in the Denton County Jail on a charge of Burglary of a Habitation.

Charges of Murder or Capital Murder are pending the results of forensic evidence testing.

Alexander is suspected in the death of Steve Lehman who was found dead in his home at 2058 E. Peters Colony Rd on November 4, 2015.

Investigators believe the suspect broke in to commit a burglary that morning, and encountered Lehman who was still at home.

Surveillance video of a suspect vehicle which was made public on November 12, 2015 led to a tip to Carrollton Police.

That tip quickly led to Alexander's arrest.

Alexander is being held on $200,000 bond.
