DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Three people were wounded as terrified customers ducked for cover when gunshots rang out in a downtown Dallas night club early Thursday morning.

According to Dallas Police, the three were shot inside the club just west of Deep Ellum on South Pearl near Main.

As the gunfire was still echoing, the gunman escaped in the confusion and police still can't say what led to the shooting.

All victims were taken to local hospitals but the severity of their injuries has not been confirmed.
