FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- Fort Worth Police have increased their presence at Chisolm Trail High School on Friday after an anonymous threat was made targeting the school on social media.

The threat was made on the social media app Yik Yak, warning students to avoid the school at 12:40 p.m.

The school, which is in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District, resumed class as normal on Friday.

"Even though this threat has not been validated, we take each rumor seriously and work with law enforcement and campus administration to ensure the safety of our campuses," a district statement reads.

The district provided the above screenshot of the threat.
