HIGHLAND PARK (CBSDFW.COM) - The Highland Park Petland was robbed early Saturday, and 12 puppies between two and four months old were stolen.

According to Shelby Pierce, who works at this Petland, the thieves stole various breeds of puppies such as English and French bulldogs, shepards, and huskies.

"Definitely it was someone who targeted specific breeds," said Pierce.

According to surveillance footage, three people were involved in the robbery.

This same Petland was robbed in February when someone grabbed two English bulldogs.

"They're just a dollar sign to them... and for us, because we get to know the puppies... we see them all as individuals... like our little babies," said Pierce.

According to Pierce, all of the stolen puppies have micro-chips that prove they came from Petland.
