Cold Front In The DFW Weather Forecast
There is a cold front in the forecast... BUT... it isn't that strong. :(
The hot, muggy weather we felt on Tuesday will be with us for the rest of the week. Temperatures each day will top out right around 97 degrees and when you factor in the humidity it will feel like 100.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Mostly clear skies and warm. Lows in the mid to upper 70s. Average low is 73 for DFW so above average.
WEDNESDAY'S FORECAST
Hot and muggy again with highs in the mid to upper 90s. An isolated storm chance southeast of Dallas.
WHEN A COLD FRONT ARRIVES
A weak cold front will arrive Saturday evening into the day on Sunday. That front will be pushed southward on Saturday by storms that develop in Oklahoma. There isn't much support for the cold front in terms of cooler air coming down the Plains. So that means the front will not have a huge impact on our temperatures. It is definitely not that good September front we are all waiting on.
But the front will bring us some rain chances Saturday into Sunday. At this point, it doesn't look like the storm threat will be too high. Most storms will not be severe.
Below is an animation showing the change in the pattern.
RAIN CHANCES
WEDNESDAY THRU FRIDAY
Just isolated showers/storms mainly SE of Dallas.
SATURDAY
Scattered storms favoring the second part of the day.
SUNDAY
Lingering showers and storms during the day on Sunday.
