CONWAY (AP) - A California man faces drug charges after a Texas traffic stop yielded $120,000 worth of marijuana including some in neatly wrapped holiday gift boxes.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Friday that marijuana was also found hidden in a spare tire.

A trooper Wednesday night stopped a pickup truck near Conway, in Carson County. A search led to the discovery of more than 20 pounds of pot, in the wrapped packages and the spare tire under the vehicle.

The trooper arrested the driver, 50-year-old Frank Coronado of Turlock, California. DPS says Coronado was charged with felony possession of marijuana in an alleged drug run from California to Oklahoma City.

Coronado was freed Thursday on $10,000 bond. Jail records Friday didn't list an attorney to speak on his behalf.
