COPPELL (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas have fallen 7 cents this week to settle at $2.29 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that compares to the nationwide average cost per gallon of $2.53, which is down 12 cents since last week.

The association survey found Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $2.19 per gallon. Drivers in El Paso are paying the most statewide this week with an average $2.53 per gallon.

Association experts say average U.S. gasoline prices are at their lowest levels, for this time of year, since 2004 due to the drop in the cost of crude oil.
