PEARLAND, Texas (AP) — A Pearland woman was arrested and charged in the drowning deaths of her 15-month-old twin daughters.

Twenty-one-year-old Barbara Ramirez-Sifuentes was arrested Sunday on two counts of manslaughter. A grand jury indicted her on the charges last week. Authorities say Ramirez-Sifuentes found her daughters, Savannah and Sabrina Russo, unresponsive in their home's bathtub Feb. 17 and called police.

The twins were taken to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The Harris County Medical Examiner has ruled the deaths were homicides.

Ramirez-Sifuentes' 3-year-old son was taken by Child Protective Services shortly after the incident and placed with relatives.

She's being held at the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond. It wasn't immediately clear if she has an attorney.
