HOUSTON (CBSDFW.COM/AP)It was yesterday when officials in Harris County confirmed a body that had been found in west Houston was that of missing Katy teenager Adriana Coronado. Today the Medical Examiner's report revealed the 14-year-old died from gunshot wounds.

Coronado, whose body was found Wednesday, was shot multiple times and her death has been ruled a homicide, the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences said. She was last seen a week ago in the Houston suburb of Katy, where she lived.

Investigators believe Adriana might have been with her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado, when he was killed. He was found fatally shot Sunday about 80 miles north of Houston. His burned pickup truck was found near Conroe, 45 miles south of where his body was discovered.

The Walker County's Sheriff's Office released surveillance video Thursday of a person of interest leaving the father's truck in Conroe on Sunday night. The truck is driven off screen and a few seconds later, a burst of light can be seen coming from the direction of the truck. Authorities believe the burst of light was when the truck was set on fire. The man can be seen running away from the direction of the truck and later seen running down an alley.

Investigators have said they don't have a motive and don't know what Coronado was doing in Walker County.

Houston police department spokesman Victor Senties declined to comment on the medical examiners' report Saturday, saying Adriana's death was "part of an ongoing investigation."
