Everyone has seen a fire truck speed by and wondered what it would be like to jump into your boots and become a super hero that we call fire fighter!

At the Texas Fire Museum you can take a tour of fire trucks and apparatus they have on display from the 1800's all the way up to modern trucks.

"It's a combination of trucks that have been given to us, trucks that are here for restoration and actually quite a few of the trucks are owned by individuals, that's how we started with it" said Gene Conway.

You'll find everything from recently retired fire trucks all the way back to a hand drawn fire wagon from the 1800's.

"It is a 1845 Hunneman Hand Pumper.  William Hunneman was actually an apprentice of Paul Revere" Gene added.

The Texas Fire Museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm most weeks throughout the year.
