(AP) - Kansas State will play Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 28 in Houston in a matchup of former Big 12 rivals.

The Wildcats (8-4) have won five of their last six and are in a bowl for a seventh straight season. They played in the inaugural Texas Bowl in 2006.

The Aggies (8-4) will go into the game off losses in three of their last four games.

Texas A&M leads the series with K-State 8-7. The teams split 10 games as members of the Big 12, with K-State winning 53-50 in overtime in their last meeting in 2011.

The Aggies moved to the SEC in 2012.
