GARLAND ( CBSDFW.COM) - The search for a killer continues in Garland as murder victim Jamhal Henderson's loved ones made tearful pleas for the public's help.

"There's no words -- can't even explain or describe it, what we're going through," said Henderson's girlfriend, Sarah Singleton. She's hoping someone - anyone - with information about his murder will come forward. "We need any help we can get."

Garland police said they still don't have any solid leads in the case.

Authorities said Henderson, 38, was found dead last Friday in his Garland house after someone shot him in the back of his head.

"An amazing man. The most amazing father to his two children. He loved them so much," according to Singleton.

Ashley Garner is the mother of Henderson's two and a half year old daughter. "Everybody loved him."

She said he was a great father, not only to their daughter, but his 19-year-old son. "That's like my best friend, my kids' dad. Eventually, I will be OK. But I hope whoever did it, will come forward. Why would you take somebody's life like that? Nobody deserves that."

Garland Crimestoppers is offering up to $5,000 to anyone with information leading to the arrest of Henderson's killer. "I don't care why you call. Just call because it might help us find justice for his family and for his babies." said Singleton.

She said even if you didn't know Henderson, you may have seen his silver 1980's Oldsmobile Cutlass he restored.

Anyone with information, may call Garland Crimestoppers at 972.272.8477 and remain anonymously.
