Now through November 23, Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum features the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village with over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash and was named one of "America's Best Pumpkin Festivals," according to Fodor's Travel in 2015.

If you love the beautiful flowers at the Arboretum each spring, now you can buy your own! Back by popular demand, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is selling spring-blooming bulbs that are perfect for winter planting. Bulb packages range from $23 to $83 and include hyacinths, muscari, daffodils, paperwhites and tulips. Orders are open through November 7, with shipments starting in late November, just in time for perfect winter planting. Bulb purchases can be made online.

Healing with Horses Ranch will host its Second Annual Barn Bash on Saturday October 15, 2016 in Manor. The Barn Bash will have live music, silent and live auctions, photos with the mini horse, Oreo, and more. This year, the ranch is raising funds to build a covered arena so that students can ride around throughout the year and in all weather conditions. Their programs serve at-risk youth, veterans, and individuals in Travis, Williamson, and Bastrop Counties. It is a place where horses heal body, mind, and soul.

On Saturday, October 22, Reindeer Manor will have more than their typical monsters, aliens and zombies. Star Wars characters will be at Reindeer Manor from 8-10pm taking pictures with guests and collecting donations for Apollo Support and Rescue. Apollo Support and Rescue accepts donations in the form of both money and pet food. The goal of Apollo Support and Rescue is to be a stepping stone to care for and place dogs in homes that believe in second chances.

Fright Fest 2016 is at Six Flags Over Texas.

Screams is open for its 2016 season and unveils its newest haunted attraction, the Zombie Wasteland.  They actually have 3 Haunted Houses, the CarnEvil Clown Maze and the all new Zombie Wasteland!  Plus, there is live entertainment on the Screams® stage, Scary-Oke, games of skill, shops, and a food court. Screams will be open on Friday & Saturday Nights now through October 29, 2016 from 7:30 PM to 1:30 AM and is located in Waxahachie, just 30 minutes south of downtown of Dallas off of I-35E at exit 399A on the Scarborough Faire® site.

Friday night at the Allen Library (10/14), see the award winning duo Jennings and Keller. From the Broadway musicals of New York to the honky tonks of West Texas, they do it all.

You can feel the rhythm Saturday afternoon (10/15) at 3pm at the Allen Public Library. Samba Vida Drum & Dance Company will have both music and dance. Elegant samba dancers, with colorful costumes will do their thing.

The Great State Fair of Texas continues this weekend and runs through October 23 at Fair Park. Check out LeFreak at the fair Sunday. (10/16)

The 15th Annual Autumn Days in Ennis Fall Festival is Saturday (10/15).

The AAA Texas NHRA Fall Finals are happening at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis today through Sunday (10/13-16).

Christmas in Cowtown Holiday Market at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth today through Sunday (10/13-16).

Dallas Fan Days is happening this weekend (10/15-16). This deal is a twice a year comic, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event at the Irving Convention Center. There is a ton of stuff to do… Costume Contest…Doctor Who Activity Room…and a bunch of celebrity Q and sessions with people like Walking Dead's Scott Wilson, Stranger Things Millie Bobbie Brown, Wrestling Legend Mick Foley and my favorite… Christian Slater.

The Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is Saturday and Sunday (10/15-16). You can see the amazing USAF Thunderbirds along with the world's fastest jet-powered semi that reaches speeds of 300 miles per hour.

Kansas is playing the Majestic Theater Saturday night (10/15).
