Meet the Perot Museum's newest addition at Meet Your Mammoth Day on Saturday, Nov. 21! In May 2014, a nearly intact and pristine Columbian mammoth was discovered in an Ellis County sand pit. "Ellie May" was excavated, prepped and pampered and is now ready for her new home at the Perot Museum.

Forecasters predict the holidays to be a flurry of fun at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science with the extraordinary Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence exhibition taking center stage, plus brilliant 3D films, family fun Discovery Days, a Late Night featuring renowned Jerusalem 3D filmmaker Daniel Ferguson, a "New Year's" sleepover, an array of gifts for all ages, extended hours, special activities throughout the Thanksgiving and winter breaks, and more.

Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, Dallas Arboretum guests are invited to create centerpieces for fall table displays, with help from a local florist. Easy and gorgeous ideas using some of the Dallas Arboretum's most unique specialty gourds of the season will be on display in the Pumpkin Village. Guests can bring a bag and take home pumpkins, gourds or squash to dress up a holiday table or mantel. For the first time, all the twisted and speckled gourds that create the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village will be for sale at a select patch in Pecan Grove. Prices will range from $.25 to $2, while supplies last. A pumpkin-decorating station geared for kids 12 and younger will also be available.

You must see the awesome holiday display at the Historic DeGolyer House Showcasing The Artistry of the Nativity. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend in the historic DeGolyer House, lavishly decorated for the holidays, The Artistry of the Nativity collection returns with 300 crèches, representing many cultures from around the world.

Hear some awesome western swing music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 20, at the Allen Public Library, with the Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band.

The DFW Auto Show returns to Fort Worth this weekend at the Fort Worth Convention Center Thursday November 19-22. This is one of the first shows in the nation to unveil what the manufacturers have in store for 2016. Park Place Premier Collection also will return with its "fantasy car" lineup featuring a bunch of vehicles I cannot even pronounce.

Six Flags Over Texas Celebrates the Season with Holiday in the Park. From Saturday November 21 through January 3, 2016, SantaLand, the Holiday Tree of Trees Spectacular, The Frosty Snowhill, and delight and amaze you.

A lot to do in downtown Fort Worth this weekend. The Starlight Symphony returns to West 7th. This five-minute music and light show held on the hour from 6 to 10 p.m. from November 20 through January 6 is extremely cool. New this year – a sledding hill with real snow. There are also free Horse and Carriage Rides from Crockett Square every Friday and Saturday – 7 to 10 p.m.,   November 20 through January 2.

The 2015 Parade of Lights in Fort Worth's Sundance Square is Sunday November 22. Fort Worth's 33rd annual illuminated holiday procession is made up of 100 professionally designed and produced floats that each feature more than 12,000 lights, as well as equestrian units, antique cars, marching bands, horse-drawn carriages and carolers.

The 6th Annual Addison Circle Tree Lighting at Beckert Park is Friday November 20.

Rogers and Hammerstein 'The Sound of Music' is at Music Hall at Fair Park Friday November 20-22

The Trains at NorthPark Center are back...Saturday November 21- January 3

You can check out Peter Pan now through December 6 at AT&T Performing Arts Center. This is a really cool live stage production of Peter Pan in the Three-Sixty Theatre – a state of the art 100-foot high structure that is a climate-controlled, world-class theatre-tent.

A Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan runs through January 3. They'll have dozens of Lone Star Christmas displays that include more than 2 million twinkling lights and acres of larger-than-life decorations. This year's ICE! Exhibit features an all-new theme - Christmas Around the World.

Led Zeppelin tribute Swan Song is at the Granada Saturday November 21.

Awesome guitarist John 5 is playing Trees Thursday November 19.

Former master of the mullet Michael Bolton is at Choctaw Casino Friday November 20.
