DALLAS (CBSDFW) -- SWAT was unable to locate a suspect at a northwest Dallas motel where a man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning.
The shooting occurred on Regal Row near I-35 at a Motel 6 around 2:30 a.m.
Investigators say the man was shot following an argument. He was found dead in an upstairs breezeway.
Based on a witness account, the suspect was believed to be barricaded at the location.
However, SWAT evacuated several motel rooms during a morning sweep but was unable to find the suspect. No description of the suspect has been provided.
Regal Row was shut down between Harry Hines and I-35 as a result of the investigation, but has since reopened.
The name of the victim has not been released by police.
