The base resumed normal operations to regularly scheduled gate traffic shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Earlier, Naval Security Forces detained someone who allegedly made the bomb threat.

Naval Criminal Investigative Service members questioned the suspect and took the person off the base.

A remote procedure to investigate the suspicious package on base was conducted through joint efforts of 301st Fighter Wing Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and the Fort Worth Police Department EOD team around 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
