Suspected Robber Shot To Death By Intended Victim In Arlington

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington Police are still in the early stages of their investigation into a deadly shooting around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3 but say it appears a man trying to rob two people ended up getting killed.

Police say it happened at a convenience store in the 3300 block of N. Watson Road.

Police say when officers arrived, they found a man at the intersection of Mayfield and Carter with an apparent gunshot wound in a wrecked car.  He died.

During the attempted robbery, the suspect was shot by one his intended victims and then tried to get away in his car.

The two other citizens involved were located and interviewed.

No arrests have been made as detectives continue to investigate this incident and determine the sequence of events to later present this case to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office for review.
