Suspect Leads Police Through 3 DFW Cities

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Garland have one man in custody after a chase that traveled through three North Texas cities. The incident started at around 1:00 a.m. when officers noticed a vehicle that was reported stolen in Plano.
Authorities tried to stop the pickup truck's driver, but a police chase ensued. The suspect led officers through Garland, Mesquite and into Dallas. The chase eventually came to an end when the truck slammed into a fence in the 4600 block of Amesbury Drive, near Sandhurst Lane in Dallas.
The unidentified driver was taken into custody and now faces a variety of charges.
Officers from Mesquite assisted in the pursuit, along with a Dallas police helicopter.
