GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - A police chase ended early Friday morning with the suspect being transferred to a hospital. The incident started at around 2:30 a.m. as Garland officers tried to pull over a man on a motorcycle who had outstanding warrants.

That suspect led authorities on a chase westbound along the LBJ Freeway. The man finally laid down his motorcycle and started running near the intersection with Webb Chapel Road. During his time on foot, the suspect jumped off of the freeway overpass and onto the level below.

The jump left the suspect hurt, but he continued trying to flee from officers.

The man was eventually taken into custody and transferred to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police have not yet said what charges he could now face. The suspect's name has not been released.
